Hayley Murray
Hayley is the Director of Kidsense and is qualified with a Bachelor of Health Science (Occupational Therapy) degree through Auckland University of Technology and is a New Zealand Registered Occupational Therapist (NZROT).
Hayley has always had a passion for working with children and is highly motivated to support children in reaching their full potential. She takes a family-centered approach to therapy and encourages education and support with all family members. She feels that every child has different needs and therefore highlights the importance in having individual treatment plans.
Hayley has years of experience working with children of all ages and needs. She lived in Sydney where she gained clinical experience, specialized training and workshops with leading clinicians in the field of Paediatric Occupational Therapy. Hayley has completed a number of courses in Paediatric Occupational Therapy including “Sensory Defensiveness” presented by Patricia Wilbarger and Tracey Stackhouse and is trained in the Therapressure© Brushing Protocol. The “Focus on Treatment” workshop presented by Sheila Frick. “The Traffic Jam in My Brain: A Sensory Processing Approach to Challenges Associated with Autism, ADHD, Learning and Behavioural Differences”, presented by Genevieve Jereb. “NDT/SI and play” workshop by Lezlie Adler. “Listening with the Whole Body” (Therapeutic Listening®) with Sheila Frick, and DIR®/Floortime™ with Mari Caulfield and Kathy Walmsley.
